Mr. Todd is the son of William Clyde Todd and Josie Sexton Todd. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Paul Todd and Keener Todd.
Mr. Todd was born in Marianna, Florida. He spent time on the florida Highway Patrol and the rest of his career in the trucking industry. He also spent time in the military and served in the army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Todd enjoyed fishing, gardening, the Florida Gators, football in general, but most importantly, his beloved grandchildren. Nothing brought him more joy than watching his beautiful granddaughters play sports and succeed in the classroom. No one could deny the pure joy in his eyes or the brightness in his smile when Kylee nailed a field goal on Friday night, Kensley led her team to a county championship, or Kayden scored an amazing goal that no eight year should make. His love for his family is undeniable and could be recognized by anyone he came in contact with.
Besides his Sandra, Mr. Todd is also survived his only daughter, Sondra and her husband, Todd Sheats of Odenville, AL; his beloved grandchildren, Kylee Harrell, Kensley Harrell, and Kayden Sheats; his sisters, Opal “Doll” Gordon, and Marry Harrison; brother, Truman Todd; sisters-in-law, Fran Todd and Betty Sue Todd; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and other relative and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Kilgroe Funeral Home at 10:00AM with funeral services to follow at 11:00AM. Graveside services will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 2:00PM.
