Mr. Coates was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Coates, sons, Anthony McLaughlin, Jesse McLaughlin, father, Billy Coates, mother, Betty Kent, sister, Debra Coates Davis (Leon), brother, James Lloyd Coates and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 12 Noon.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Kilgroe Leeds Chapel with burial at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
