Steven Poe

Steven Lee Poe died on Monday, January 9, 2023.He was born on September 16, 1955 in Birmingham, Alabama to Willard B. Poe and Carolyn Poe. Steven grew up on Simmons Mountain outside of Odenville, Alabama and attended New Lebanon Baptist Church as a child and part of his retired life.

Steven spent 12 years attending St. Clair County School in Odenville and graduated in 1974 from St. Clair County High School. He attended Jacksonville State University, in Jacksonville, AL and joined the US NAVY IN 1979. He was a career Naval serviceman and retired as a Chief with Computer Expert experience.

Steven is survived by his Son, Sam Poe of Moody Alabama. He is also survived by two grandsons, Carson Poe and Connor Poe of Moody, Alabama. Steven also is survived by his sister, Laura Poe Howard, and has a nephew, Jay Howard and niece, Ali Howard all of Destin, FL.

Kilgroe Funeral Home is in charge of the Private Graveside interment. Pastor Ken Roberts will be officiating for the family. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to a Veteran’s Organization in Steven’s Remembrance.
