He is preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Joyce Dickie; parents, Clarence Russell Dickie and Stilla Deshaine Dickie; brothers, Robert Dickie and Theodore “Teddy” Thomas Dickie.
He is survived by his sisters, Lynn Pettit and Nola Hammett; children, Jeffery Scott Dickie (Wanda), Carole Jeanne Dickie, and Nancy Ann Dickie (James Hyatt); grandchildren, Misty Morgan (Ken), Chris Hardin (Jessica), Johnathan Peoples (Crystal), Stephine Prentice (Ashley), Russell Holloman (Nikki), CJ Hollomon (Amber), Roland Johnson (Jennifer), and Lynn Nash Third; and many great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 9AM to 10AM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 10AM. Burial will take place at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at 12:30PM.
