Robert Hawkins

Robert Gene “Bobby” Hawkins,61, of Leeds passed away on Sunday, April 9th. Born May 19th, 1961 in England, he was raised in Hazelhurst, GA by his paternal grandparents. Preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Woods. He is survived by his father, Charles Hawkins (Vera) and brothers Ricky Hawkins and Paul Hawkins. He leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Peggy Hawkins, two daughters, Brandi Taylor (Ricky) and Shana Brownlee (Gary). Grandchildren: Tyler Skelton, Kadence Skelton, Valarie Wright, Brooke Stiles, Bentley Taylor, and Summer Stiles. He was a devoted husband and caring father and “Pawpaw”. He was a dedicated fan of Leeds Greenwave and never missed watching a Bama game. He was very supportive of all his grandkids and regularly attended their sporting events. Bobby had many friends and stayed in close contact with relatives in south GA. One of his closest friends described him as “goofy and a road atlas” also “one of a kind” and the “best friend he’s ever had”. He will be deeply missed by all
