Paula Kay Carey 81, of Springville, AL passed away March 3,2022. preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Harold "Tiny" Carey, daughter, Evelyn Marie Carey, brother, Buddy Chock Goocher, many loving Aunts and Uncles that raised her and her brother as their own, survived by sisters Sandra Boles and Peggy Church, brother Richard Goocher; daughters, Tamera Foreman, Priscilla Anderson (Terry), and Hope Miller, son, Andrew Carey (Barbara); Grandchildren: Brian(Wendy), Ashley(Jared), Emily, Kelly (Raf), Meaghan (Ryan), Joshua(Jordan), and Andrew. Great Grandchildren: Taylor, Olivia, Braden, Stevie, Emma, Kinsley, Aryana, Gianna, Anderson, Rhema, Eliza Jane, Thomas, Ian and Maura, Rosabelle and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Born in Dardanelle, Arkansas June 4,1940, she was a long time member of Pleasant Hill UMC in Springville, AL. She worked for many years in customer service at JCPenney, Sears and Publix. Paula (Momma-Cita) loved the Lord and her family. She never met a stranger. She loved gardening, dancing, singing, playing the piano and maybe most of all, Wheel of Fortune and Hallmark Channel movies. She could cook a mean pot of pinto beans, chicken and noodles, pecan pie, brownies and cornbread. Her vivacious personality will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Services will be Monday , March 7, 2022 visitation at 1:00 PM with service to follow at 2:00pm Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
