Ora Mae Newton, age 88, of Moody, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Born April 17, 1936, she is survived by her daughter, Vickie Johnson; son, William "Spud" Newton (Karen); grandchildren Amy Bynum (Jerrod), Tiffany Karr (David), and Todd Johnson (Amber); and great grandchildren Sylas Bynum, Corrina Karr, Ethan Karr, Samuel Johnson, and Eli Johnson. She was a long time member of Moody First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Gideons West Camp.
Funeral services will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm with visitation from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. There will be a graveside following at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Trussville.
