Myra Jean McKinney

Myra was a long time member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church where she considered her friends in her Sunday School Class as family.

Myra retired from the Jefferson County Probate Court where she served many years as the Election Clerk for Justice Michael F. Bolin, whom she called her brother. Myra was always interested in politics and enjoyed discussing them with anyone that would dare take her on.

The love of her life was her little dog Daisy.

Myra was preceded in death by her beloved parents: Jessie Mathis and Leverette McKinney, and a sister, Patricia Taylor.

She is survived by her sister Ann Boaz, and many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 29, 2104 at 2:00 PM. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, AL. with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 PM. until the service time. Rev. Billy Abrams officiating.
