Mary Elaine Polk

Mary Elaine was born on January 28, 1942 in Birmingham, AL to Frank and Muriel Gallon. She attended Christian College in Montgomery, AL and she received a degree in accounting from Harding University. On June 7, 1964 she married Billy Ray Polk. They raised two sons, Andrew Gallon and Jason William.

Mary Elaine was confirmed into the Catholic Church and attended Our Lady of Sorrows. She worked for EWTN and enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach and knitting.

Mary Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Muriel Gallon and husband, Billy Ray Polk. She is survived by her two beloved sons, Andrew (Kaye), Jason (Heather); grandsons, Ray (Leanna), Zachary, and granddaughter, Caroline. Also surviving are her two sisters Patricia Ann Gallon and Linda Susan Gallon and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Kilgroe Funeral Home at 12 Noon with burial to follow at Forest Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 beginning at 11:00AM.
