Martha Alice Abel

She is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Gene Abel; brother, Drennen Glenn.

Mrs. Abel graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in 1953. She was a member at Glennwood Baptist Church from 1947 until 1961 to which she joined Valley View Baptist Church and is still a current member. She retired from United Chair Company in Leeds in August of 2000.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Abel; sons, Charles Glenn Abel (Donna) and Richard Gregory Abel (April); brothers, Thomas E. Glenn (Billy Faye), Johnny Glenn (Kaye), Hugh E. Glenn, Jr. (Deborah), Kenneth E. Glenn (Rosemary), Robert F. Glenn (Bonita); grandchildren, Anita Marie Abel, Jeremy Glenn Abel, Cassie Abel Morgan, Allyson Claire Abel, Benjamin Abel, Tiffiany Abel Ward, and Meagan Renea Abel; great grandchildren, James Henry Cates, John Wyatt Ward, Karalyn Grace Abel, and Carson Morgan.

Funeral services were held at Kilgroe Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 with burial at Glennwood Baptist Church Cemetery in Morris, AL.
