To know our sweet Mae Mae was to truly know the most beautiful soul both inside and out. With an absolute heart of gold and a smile that matched, she left this world and entered heaven at 27 years old.
Mae spent her days on this earth full of life, and she could always bring a smile and chuckle to any room, ball field, or court. She loved hard and big, and more than anything in this world , she loved her three children and being called Mom. “The very best Mom in the whole wide world”, as they say.
Marrin is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sandy & Tommy Cater, and by the most precious baby girl, born asleep in 2018, Wylson Maevry Cater.
She leaves behind family and friends including Cortez Bothwell; her sweet babies, Triller Griffin Cater (8), Ezekiel Lane Cater (Zeke, 6), Maeva Orilyn Bothwell (1); her parents, Sharon & Wilbert Griffin , Bo & Miranda Cater; sisters, Immori (Clark) Dixon, Alicia (William) Farmer, Emma Higginbotham; brother, Ian Higginbotham; grandparents, Ronnie & Pat Warren; along with a host of extended family and many close friends whom she absolutely adored.
To say our girl will be missed is more than an understatement, but by the promise of God in 2 Corinthians 5:8, we know that to be absent from this world is to be present with Jesus.
Marrin will be laid to rest at Chandler Mountain Baptist Church beside baby Wylson. A service to honor and remember her will be held on Friday, October 6th, at Chandler Mountain Baptist Church. Family will welcome friends beginning at 11:00 AM , and the service will begin at 1:00 with graveside immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund at Metro Bank to benefit Triller, Zeke, and Maeva.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Bro. Jimmy, who called Mae “the B (baby)” for her whole life, and to Bro. Danny for conducting the service, to Steele Police and Fire Department, for always responding and taking such good care of our girl, and especially to so many friends and family, who without hesitation showed up and loved us incredibly well, and most of all for the peace we’ve felt from the continuous prayers that have flooded the gates of heaven on our behalf.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.kilgroefuneralhome.com for the Cater family.
