Lydia Boley Smith

Mrs. Smith was born in Shelby County and moved to Leeds in the 1930’s. She was a long-time member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents – William Casey and Bertie Garner Walker; her husbands – Freeman Otis Boley and Lester Smith and her child – Freeman Boyd Boley.

She is survived by her children - Melva Fay Boley Wages (Bobby); Beverly Ann Boley Yeckley (George); Carolyn Sue Boley Carr (Jerry); Grandchildren – Terri Lynn McLaughlin Gibson (William); Bobby Marlon Wages (Kim); Micah Shane McLaughlin (Betty); Stewart Jay Wages (Leigh); Michael Ashley Carr (Rachel); Jonathan Wesley Carr (Lisa); eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
