She is survived by her two daughter, Brenda Simmons (Randy) of Margaret, Alabama and Brandi Boyle of Los Angeles, California, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She lived a wonderful life for 96 years, living in Virginia, Florida, Kentucky, Japan, Oklahoma, Germany, Atlanta, Georgia and currently resided in Margaret, Alabama. She loved being a military wife, working as a secretary in the military and civilian life, enjoyed traveling to many exciting places and tell stories of all her many adventures.
The family will receive friends at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, followed by funeral service at 2:00PM. Internment will be private at Crest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bethel Baptist Seniors at Bethel Baptist in Moody, Alabama.
