Linda Alexander Golden, 78, of Moody, Alabama passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was surrounded by loved ones and her husband of 58 years. She left us to tend a new garden with the angels in heaven.
She was born on January 7, 1944, in Gadsden Alabama. After graduating from Etowah County High School, she went to Birmingham to study Radiologic Technology where she met the love of her life, her best friend and partner, Larry Golden. They married in 1964 and had a son (Michael).
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Linda was a loving sister, but she doted on her nieces and nephews and their children. She was active in their lives and attended many birthdays, graduations (from kindergarten through high school) and as many holiday celebrations as she could.
Linda worked tirelessly as a Radiologic Technologist. She was very passionate about her work and loved caring for people.
Outside of family time, Linda’s sanctuary was her garden. She took great pride and spent countless hours tending her plants, getting her hands dirty and nurturing her flowers.
Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband, Larry; her son, Michael Golden, his wife, Caryn and her fur baby Kobe. She is survived by her sister, Ann Thomas and was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Clyde and Jerry Alexander.
Linda will be missed by many. Those who would like to honor her with a memorial contribution are asked to donate in her name to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church 7833 Parkway Drive Leeds, AL 35094 followed by a memorial service.
