Kent Douglas Ebner

Kent Douglas Ebner, age 75 was born on February 19, 1935 in Chicago, IL to William Henry and Edith (Miller) Ebner. He went to be with Jesus on December 17, 2010 and he was surrounded by his loving family.

Kent was raised in Chicago and Nebraska. After graduating high school Kent enlisted in the United States Marines as an electronic technician where he served from 1954-1957. After leaving the Marines Kent moved to Los Angeles, CA where he started at ITT Industries as an electronics technician where he worked until he retired in 1992.

Kent met the love of his life in 1961 through a friend at work. Kent and Barbara married in 1962. Barbara passed away in 1980 and Kent never remarried.

Kent was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his parents William and Edith Ebner and both of his siblings, William Ebner and Barbara Kagianas and special uncle and aunt William “Bud” and Jo Ebner.

Survivors include his son, Brian and wife Tommie Ebner, and his 4 grandchildren, Micah Ebner, Jacob Ebner, Aleya Ebner and Tyler Ebner. God daughter Kimberly Ebner-Print and husband Neil Print. Niece Lynn Kaufman and husband Michael. Nephew Kurt Ebner and wife Danica.

Kent will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial in Hollywood Hills, CA next to his beloved wife Barbara. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Steel Baptist Church in Steele, AL.
