Gary is survived by his wife, Brenda Richey; children, Amanda Lowery, Kevin Richey, Kyle Richey (Cadie), Anthony Sazera (Andrea), Eric Strickland (Bobbie) and Jacqueline Strickland; brother, Johnny Richey; sister, Carolyn Bentley "Tootsie"; grandchildren, Landon McElroy (Taylor), Payton McElroy (Brent), Lillian Lowery, Katelyn Richey, Georgia Richey, Bella Richey, Bryce Richey, Shane Strickland, Carli Sazera, Mary Grace Sazera, and Daniel Sazera and great grandchild, Rhett McElroy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Kilgroe Funeral Home from 11:00AM until 12:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Kilgroe Funeral Home beginning at 12:00PM with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville, AL.
