Freddie Jean Falkner

Freddie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Rabbit) Earl Falkner, Sr. and survived by her partner, Robert (Bobby) Ryan. She is survived by her son Robby Falkner (Becky), her daughter Cindy Maguire (Roy Lee), her six grandchildren and their spouses as well as her great-granddaughter. Freddie’s grandchildren are: Robin Falkner of Boone, NC; Daniel Falkner of Leeds, AL; Stephi Burckhard (Courtney), Demi Trotter (Travis), Kelsey Maguire and Chris Maguire of Nashville, TN. Her most recent pride and joy was her great-grandchild, Ella Trotter.

Freddie Bishop was born on July 20, 1939, the daughter of Fred and Ernestine (Wright) Bishop. In 1957, she married her sweetheart, Rabbit Falkner and they had two children, Robby and Cindy.

Freddie was a real estate broker for over forty years. For four years of her career, she worked at Realty Champions in Leeds where she made a lot of friends and considered it her privilege to help people in every way she could. Freddie was generous to a fault, always trying to help someone who might need it, especially children. Her true southern cooking was her most heartfelt way to nurture family and friends. She took great pride in providing and maintaining the flowers at Chapel in the Pines near her home in Pell City. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.

A service in remembrance of Freddie’s life will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Kilgroe Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be provided to: Jimmie Hale Mission or YWCA of Central Alabama Domestic Violence Shelter.
