I miss you mom, so much. People who say "it gets better with time". no, it doesn't.

Where do I even start?  Two years seems like a lifetime ago, and also…like yesterday. Your presence is with me everyday and that helps me feel ok that you are simply vacationing somewhere I can’t go…yet. 
No one warned me it would be this hard. What I imagined isn’t anywhere close to reality. You lit up this dim world, even in the sufferings you never shared, your light never wavered. I’m lost without you here. I’m not who I was 2 years ago. Nowhere close. I miss you MawMaw. We all miss you so incredibly much.  I can’t bring myself to delete our texts and voicemails. Christmas is lackluster without you here gathering plans for meals and gifts. Dirty Santa doesn’t have your spunk and wanting to steal everything…even though you knew better. You always brighten us up. We are all still getting together and keeping in touch…I know you worried about that. Our love is deeper because of you.  I love you so much. Please give Jesus a hug for me. Merry Christmas Gift.  Here’s a throwback to one of our first beach trips…XOXO

I sure do miss you momma. I could use one of our talks right about now. I was told Friday that me and my entire departments last day is Nov 19th of this year. We're not being retained by the bank that took us over. When their HR person told us all at one time on a conf call that was over in 3 min I actually picked up my phone to call you. 
I know that God's in control and He always works it all out, I guess it stung more than I expected it would.  Another dedicated 10+ years with a company tossed out the window.  Add that 10 plus the 15 years at the law firm, mercy! One could start to get a complex ya know!  These 2 companies got the best  years of my life. 
Anyway,  I have faith in my Saviour that He's always in control and this is just part of my walk through life. But you know this is just another example of why you were always a blessing to all of us momma. You always knew just what to say to make it all better. I miss our talks, and I miss you so much..

You was the love of my dad's life and you made his life worth living. You made his days brighter and his nights warmer.  I am so happy he had you.  You will be so missed.  You treated me like I was one of your daughters and I am so grateful. 


Oh mom, I wish I had the vocabulary to try and express how much I miss you. The world is just different now, everything just seems less beautiful as it once was when I knew you were just a call or text away. You were always my biggest fan, always had the perfect encouraging thing to say that would always point me in a different better direction. My safety net, my anchor. This is the 1st time in my life that I feel alone now with you and dad both gone. Like a big part of me is now missing that I feel like was selfishly stolen. I'm know everyone goes through this, some stage of grief that I'm sure is documented in about 1000 different books. Those books, advice from friends, etc even though it's all meant well just didn't know me or you personally or our family. So what I'm being told just doesn't fit.  We do have such a beautiful family mom, and you knew that more than all of us combined. It's why you always wanted us to get together so much so we could see that too. You would always say "Look at my beautiful family" when we were all together, said that for as long as I can remember back. I can for sure appreciate that now more than ever. You would be proud momma we're all trying to keep that up, all of us getting together as much as we can. Teresa, Lindsay and Matthew are just beautiful souls that are always there no matter what, same goes with Heath and Alisa too. If anyone ever needed anything they would all be there! Jess is being so patient and caring with me too during this season. She deserves a daily award putting up with me. She for sure is my personal blessing straight from God's hands. Even with all this support I still just want to hide from everyone just because I don't want to burden them with having to ask how I'm doing, or me having lie with my answer. Anyway, just a little funny for ya. I've been trying to download all our daily hello texts so I can print them all out for a book I'm making and OH MY! Just since 1/22/17 there's over 12,000 of em! 

I worked with Dorothy for around 10 years, and she left about 15 years ago.  I use to have the ability to say hi to her through her daughter who was a property manager at Bob’s in Hoover off Lorna.  Then it wasn’t long that her daughter moved on & I could never find her again.  I have had Dorothy on my mind for several years now and hate I was not able to see her again after she left NCP.  Dorothy was a wonderful loving person , and a very loyal friend.  I know you are in Heaven Dorothy, and I look forward to seeing you again one day.  Thank you for being so good to me, and I will always miss you.  Btw, Dorothy shared some great stories with me through the years.

Today is so hard.  I feel so selfish.  I want you back.  I know you hurt no more. You are with god and love ones that have  gone before you. I’m so great full god gave you to me. You were there to step in and be my mom too.

Didn't get to spend a lot of time with Tincy but when we did she always had a smile and a hug for you. She was always a very pleasant person to be around. She is at peace now in the hands of the Lord. My condolences to her family and friends. Our prayers are with you.  

My heart breaks, yet rejoices. I have so many beautiful memories with you that I can truly say I was the luckiest person in the world. I will always say our time together was short because 1 million lifetimes would not be enough. You have starred in my earliest memories and I will always keep you spirit and kindness alive. You wanted lins and I to give you more girls, and I am so sorry we did not have the time. Although, I can promise you my children will know what a fantastic great grandmother they have. Our last visit together was beautiful. You got to see your tree up. I can only say that I wish I could hear you say,” I love you babe.” One more time or see you smile, hear you laugh, and hug you. But I know that our time will come again. I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck! One of my earliest  memories is of you and I playing hide and seek by hiding in the China cabinet. We were both so tiny that we fit right in.  My favorite memory is when you told me if I kept sucking my thumb it would fall off and they’d have to sow a dead persons thumb on. I’m sad you had to go, but I’m so happy you found your peace!!

Your being gone saddens me and brings me comfort all at the same time. Sadness from not being able to see you, touch you or hear your infectious laughter; hear you say’ “I love you pumpkin” once more. I’m comforted knowing that your suffering in this place is over and that you are in Glory with Jesus and your mom, dad and siblings. 
This world isn’t the same without you. It doesn’t look the same or sound the same any more. I’m so grateful that God chose you to be my grandmother. He really outdid Himself. Until we see each other again I will try to always love like you did.  I love you so very much.

I was so blessed to be given this wonderful woman as my Mom. She lived every bit of her life to the fullest here and I know she will continue to do so with Jesus. 
"Moma, no one on earth loves you more than we do. You took a huge part of me with you, so hold on to it til I get there. I do expect you and Maw to save some dancing for me. I love you bunches of loads, Moma. More than I have words for. Hug Jesus for me...
