Powell, Dorothy Jones age 89 of Moody , Al and formerly of Hueytown, Al. passed away December 24, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Powell , Parents: Louie and Velma Jones , brother: James A. Jones, sons: Danny Swinney and James Swinney. She is survived by her daughters: Diane Campbell, Debby Warick (and special son in law Lane). Grandchildren: Brian Marcus, Michelle Montgomery, Ginger Cartee, Chris Swinney, Patrick Swinney and Kristen Swinney. 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Aunt: Phyllis Mayfield (Dewey) Sister: Carolyn Faye Webb (Carl) Brother: Buddy Jones (Gail) and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday December 27. 2019 at 1:00 PM from Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer with Rev. Dewey Mayfield officiating .Visitation will be from 11-12 on Friday December27, 2019 at Kilgroe Funeral Home - Leeds. The family requests in lieu of flowers to make donations to St Jude Childrens Cancer Center.
