Debbie Romei

Debbie Leigh Davis Romei, age 62, of Leeds, AL entered the gates of Heaven on May 9, 2023 after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her Husband: Richard Romei, Grandparents: Gordie and Marie Davis, Pete and Lecta Hoagland and Nephew: Chris Brasher. She is survived by her Parents: James and Conda Davis, Children: Stacey Beane (Jeff), Anthony Romei, and Lindsey Harris (Brandon), Grandchildren: Conner Beane, Dalton Harris and Ryan Harris, Sisters: Donna Brasher (Terry) and Diane Derry (Doug), Brother: Horace "Spanky" Clackley (Theresa) along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, in-laws and friends that loved her dearly.

Debbie was a hairstylist in the Leeds/Moody area for over 30 years starting with First Place then to co-own her own salon called D&J's Cut & Curl in Moody. She relocated to Leeds next to Ryan's Automotive to Debbie's Salon & Tanning and finally ending her hair career at Clippers. She has such a love and talent for all things hair. She loved her Alabama football, dancing, music of all kinds and bowling even belonging to a bowling league at Eastwood Lanes back in the 80's. She was such a wonderful Mother and Nana to her children and grandchildren and loved with such a big heart for such a tiny person. She also loved being outside working in her flower beds, enjoying nice fires in her fire pit and she also had such a soft spot for animals too. She had several beloved pets over the years, but she leaves behind her dog, Ace.

In closing, we want to thank her friend Kim Newton and all the doctors and nurses over these past several years that helped care for our mom.

A visitation will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 from 12:00-2:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a funeral service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Forest Crest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Debbie to America’s First Federal Credit Union *****33-01 with a memo for Debbie Romei.
