David Joe Phillips Sr.

David Joe Phillips, age 76, of Ashville, Alabama passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. David was born July 12, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mynat and Lois Phillips; brothers, Jimmy Phillips and Robert Phillips; sisters, Leona Beasley and Frankie Galmiche. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Phillips; son, David (Melanie) Phillips Jr.; daughters, Tammy Stephenson and Lori (David) Singleton; grandchildren, Shae (Jarrett), Drew, Ryan (Sarah), Tyler, Jacob (Kayla), David, Meghan (Dayne), Dustin (Shelby), Catarina and Braxton; great-grandson, Easton; sister, Carolyn Cook; brother, Tommy Phillips. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a Ordained Baptist Deacon. A visitation will be held on August 2nd from 12:00-2:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Forest Crest Cemetery.
