Mr. Spurgeon was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Spurgeon; brothers in law, Gary Peoples and James Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Spurgeon; daughter, Hannah Lynn Spurgeon; son, Mitchell Ray Spurgeon (daughter in law, Angie); mother, Aline Spurgeon; sisters, Debbie Phillips (Ken), Linda Peoples; brothers, Randy Spurgeon (Jean), Dale Spurgeon (Shirley); grandchildren, Brianna Pettigrew, Noah Pettigrew, Cameron Pettigrew, Carleigh Pettigrew; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 beginning at 4:30PM with Services to be held in the Chapel at 6:00PM.
