Chuck is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Paula (Thompson), two daughters, Ashly (William) Dixon, Savannah (Wesley) McCrary and a stepdaughter, Shannon Mills. Chuck had many jobs in his life, but none were as important as Papaw. He was devoted to his grandkids Gracie, Yasmine, Hannah, Jaylin, Nathan and Maddox.
Chuck is also survived by his parents, Charles and Barbara Winslett, his siblings Vaughn (Linda) Winslett, Leigh (Scott) Gross, Libbi (Jais) Winslett, Becky King, his aunts Betty Jo Kuhn, Sue Johnson his uncle, Clifton Winslett, his nephews Benjamin, Joshua, Jordan, Noah, Zachary, and Seth and many cousins.
Chuck was preceded in death by his faithful companions Otis and Duke. He loved his dogs almost as much as he loved his family. He was happiest when he was in their company. We never questioned his devotion; always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved watching football (Go Bills), Nascar and cherished the marathon Netflix date nights with his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where he regularly attended with family, in Homewood, Alabama Monday March 4, 2024 with the visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and the mass will begin at 10:00 AM.
