He was a 1989 graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School. Soon after, he began his career at the Social Security Administration. He held many positions over his 29 plus years and was currently a supervisor in the Office of Hearings Operations.
Brian was also a member of the 117th Air National Guard from 1991-1999 and loved working on aircraft. He served in two overseas campaigns during this time, one to Turkey and one to Germany.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, hiking, and the outdoors.
Brian gave his heart to Jesus under the leadership of Ricky Quick and Dan Long at the Trussville Southside Baptist Church as a youth. During the last 3 years, he had rededicated his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and had learned to whole heartedly worship Him at Evangel Assembly of God in Mount Olive, AL.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Leonard D. Brasher.
He is survived by his wife, Karen D. Brasher; step-children, Kirby Kinderknecht (Gabe) and Lee Decker (Anna); mother, Wanda Sue C. Brasher; brother, Chris D. Brasher (Dawn); grandmother, Lola S. Champion; niece, Jennifer M. Brasher; nephew, Andrew M. Brasher; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Evangel Assembly of God, Missions- PO Box 329, Mount Olive, AL 35117, or a charity of your choice in Brian’s honor. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 3:30PM at the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, AL.
