Peter was born in Lethbridge on March 20th, 1949 and he was raised in Tofield, Alberta. He spent the majority of his life in the community of Leduc being involved in many clubs and organizations including Leduc Black Gold Rodeo, the Leduc Curling Club and Oilmens Club, and was a Rat Holer by trade.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Agatha (July 7/93) & Peter (Aug 16/06) Thiessen.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Rob (Robin) Thiessen, Shelly (Mark) Javorsky and step children Brian (Shaness) Bittner and Bonnie (Ron) Anderson, grandchildren Tyler (Morgan)& Brycen Thiessen, Grayson, Dawson, Austin & Colton Javorsky, step grandchildren Preslea & Lochlyn Bittner, Lacey & Connor Anderson and great- grandchildren Edith & Adler Thiessen and his dear Sister Erna (Bill) Warnes along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Pete enjoyed travelling, playing a heated game of crib, cruising the casino, spending many summers on the Shuswap lake boating with his family, camping and quadding with his kids and grandkids as well as trail riding in the west country with Cut-off Creek being his favorite place on earth other than home. He was a fair and generous man whom was always willing to give a kid his first job or hire an old friend down on their luck. Pete will be missed by all that loved and knew him.
