It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly Ann Jensen on March 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kim was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan on May 24, 1960. She moved to Edson at an early age. After graduating from high school, Kim graduated with a sociology degree from the University of Lethbridge. Kim eventually moved to Leduc where she met her husband, Ritchie, and where they started a family and raised their three children.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 37 years, Ritchie, children Kyle (Karley), Chad (Corinne), and Haley (Shawn), and the greatest joys of her life, her grandchildren, Josie, Leon, Sutton, Braya, Ellie, and Kamryn. She will be greatly missed by her numerous friends and family, especially her coffee girls and lake friends.
The cabin was a cherished place for Kim, and her family and friends. For over 20 years, they have spent countless days making memories together at the lake. Some of Kim’s favorite times were spent on the deck visiting friends and drinking coronas. She loved all of her animals and always made sure all of the birds were well fed. Supervising Kyle, Chad, Haley, and their adventures out there with their friends, were some of her fondest memories; she was a second mom to many of her children’s friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute of Edmonton.
