Katie Mielke Hartfelder

June 3, 1926 – June 4, 2014

Katie (Mielke) Hartfelder was born on June 3, 1926 in Emerson, Manitoba and passed away on June 4, 2014 in Leduc, Alberta.

She leaves two daughters; Bernice (Melvin) Meyer of Thorsby, Alberta and Linda (Lindsay) Mickanuck of Sherwood Park, Alberta; one granddaughter Melonia (Jeff) Edwards of Leduc, Alberta; one grandson Shawn Meyer of Strawberry Creek District; two great-grandchildren Linkin Adam and Brooke Olivia Edwards.

Katie also leaves behind one sister Phyllis (Robert) Rinas; sister-in-law Evelyn Mielke; brother-in-law Alex Pfau, all of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Adam, brother Bernard, sister-in-laws Selma Drewniak and Hertha Pfau, as well as her parents Karl & Emily Mielke.

Visitation will be held at Hainstock & Son, 4802 – 47 Avenue, Leduc on Tuesday June 10, 2014 from 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 4606 – 48 Street, Leduc on Wednesday June 11 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the Leduc Cemetery.
