With a peaceful spirit and a lifetime of good memories, Allan Little, age 92, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Leduc, Alberta. Born on Feb. 1st, 1933, in Birkenhead, England, Al lived a long, happy and adventure-filled life filled with laughter, teaching, and a good soul.
Al was a man of integrity. He met each day with resolve. A dedicated teacher, he found great satisfaction in cultivating educated and resilient young people - and sometimes, not so young people. He was always teaching. He couldn’t help it.
Beyond his work, Al was a faithful walker of dogs, an enthusiastic gardener, a mean dart player and an expert sudoku solver. Everyone in the neighborhood knew Al had a pocket full of dog cookies and a friendly good morning greeting.
Family was the cornerstone of Allan's life. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Maureen, for 66 wonderful years, and a loving father to Paul and Jacqueline. He was so happy to spend time with his grandkids, and was particularly close to and proud of his lovely granddaughter, Jessica. He went on many happy dog walks with his grandson, Cormac, teaching him the ways of the gnome pipes in a kingdom of their own devising.
Allan was a faithful Knight of Columbus and a longtime parishioner of St. Michael’s Church. He made many lasting friendships throughout his life and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warm presence, infectious laughter, and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Though he is no longer with us, the legacy of Allan's long and happy life will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who loved him. His memory will forever be in our hearts.
