Jim was a kind, gentle and generous man who always knew how to light up a room with his infectious smile and was deeply loved. He was a pillar of his community and never shied away from volunteering his time. Before his retirement, he spent 50 years building power lines across Alberta and told many stories of all the lines he built.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Debbie and three children: Darcy, James (Shauna) and April. He was a proud papa to his four grandchildren Dominique (Trent), Amanda (Logan), Reagan (Mitchel) and Ocean and great grandchild Hendrix.
Jim also leaves behind five siblings: Elaine (Dale) Kroetsch of Daysland, AB; Allan Robb (Virginia) of Rosalind, AB; Arllyis Teer (Dale) of 150 Mile House, BC; Lois Watkins (David) of Edmonton, AB; Ron Robb (Hayley) of Victoria, BC; Aunt Elsie and Uncle Dave Giles of Stony Plain, AB; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by both parents Alexander and Mildred Robb, both his in-laws Henry and Hilda Thain, sister-in-law Marilyn Thain and brother-in-law Scotty Thain.
It was Jim’s request not to have a funeral service however the family will be holding a gathering in his honour at a later date.
