Eva is survived by two daughters: Lee-Anne (Dennis) and Lynndie; two grandchildren: Bonnie and Randy; one brother, Mike and one sister, Mary (Mike).
Eva was born in MacKay, Alberta to Mike and Emilia Oleksiw. She had five siblings, Alec, Stephanie, Joe, Mike and Mary. She went to the school in MacKay and then went to high school in Edson. After that she completed a Teaching Certificate at the University of Alberta Normal School.
Eva taught school for a few years, until 1958 when she married Fred Dzuris. Together they raised two daughters, Lee-Anne and Lynndie, on their farm in MacKay. Eva was very skilled at sewing, becoming a great quilter and crafter.
After the girls left home in 1980, Eva and Fred moved to a farm near Entwistle, where Eva enjoyed lots of golfing and bird watching. In 1995, they moved to Calmar, in order to be closer to Lee-Anne, her husband Dennis and their two children, Bonnie and Randy. In 2006, Eva and Fred moved to Salem Mews in Leduc.
Eva was an adventurous soul who liked to travel, and she spent many winters with Fred in Arizona. Eva was clever and kind and she will be missed.
A Celebration of Eva's Life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in the Leduc Lions Hall at Peace Park, 4314 Rollyview Rd, Leduc, AB.
