Born on May 25, 1960, in Barrhead, Alberta, Duane spent most of his life in Leduc, where he grew up surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Duane is deeply mourned by his siblings: Brother Robert (Audrey), Sister Sheila (Grant), Sister Karen, and Brother Kerry. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Christina, Shawn (Leta), Jordan (Samantha), Charissa, Candace, Vanessa, and Kayley; as well as his great-nephews and great-niece: Gavin, Tristan, and Avery.
Duane was predeceased by his loving parents, James and Mabel Jackson; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Hilda Jackson; and his maternal grandparents, Fay and Lulu Avery. He was also preceded in death by his beloved aunt and second mother, Iona Lewis.
Duane’s kindness, wit, and steadfast love for those around him will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew him. A loyal brother, uncle, and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Celebration of Duane’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, December 9th, 2024, in Telford House, 4907 46 St, Leduc, AB.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Leduc and District Senior Centre, a reflection of Duane’s loving spirit.
