Stephen M. Neubauer of Lebanon passed away on November 21, 2024, peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Charles J. Neubauer, Sr. and Florence Moyer, wife of Gerald T. Moyer. He is survived by his mother, step-father Gerald and brothers: Charles, husband of Agatha; Michael, Scott and David and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his life-long companion Dottie DItzler. Steve was a fine athlete, having played fast pitch softball for the Jolly Molly and Blue Mountain teams. He took that same competitive spirit into basketball and golf. He loved his family very much and he was a fiercely loyal friend. Steve was a devout Catholic growing up at St. Gertude’s Church, now St. Cecelia’s and attending St. Gertrude’s Catholic School. He attended and was graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School with the class of 1970. He remained a parishioner of St. Cecelia’s, often attending daily Mass. His devotion to the Blessed Mother was strong, being most faithful to praying the Rosary. During the latter years of his life he would attend services at Calvary Chapel. He especially enjoyed his discussions with Pastor Keller. The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Heartland Hospice for their care of Steve in the final weeks of his life. We would also like to thank Fr. Laicha of St. Cecelia’s for providing Steve with the path for the rest of his journey. Steve is now at peace. Funeral arrangements will be at the discretion of the family.
