Marvin Russell Wengert

June 21, 1936 – December 2, 2022

Marvin R. Wengert, 86, of Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 2nd at Cedar Haven nursing facility after a brief battle with cancer.

Marvin was born on June 21, 1936 in McGillstown, PA. He attended Lebanon Senior High School, after which, he enlisted in the United States Army on October 20, 1959. He was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany and was honorably discharged on January 30, 1962, earning a good conduct medal.

Upon discharge from the Army, Marvin worked for Quaker Alloy for 37 years before retiring. He belonged to the Annville American Legion and several other social clubs in the Lebanon County area. He enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles, Steelers and Penn State Football! But most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marvin is survived by his son, Russell (wife Denean); daughters, Sandra Wilson (husband Richard); Jonell Roberts, Marsha Lux; son, John Orner (wife Sharon); 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. He will be sadly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his father Allan, mother Edna (nee Blouch), brothers Gerald and Richard. He will be buried with full Military honors with graveside services for family members at Fort IndianTown Gap.
