Kristy Jo Young

After graduating high school in 1975, Kristy began her career at Hershey Foods as a dedicated employee for 40+ years. Kristy considered her friends and colleagues at Hershey to be her family and she was fondly known by her own family for being the Queen of (Hershey) Kisses.

Kristy held the softest part of her heart for cats especially her most recent, Minnie, Rustee, and Chase. Aside from her cats, Ditt cherished her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews and truly spared nothing when it came to spending time with them and spoiling them. Kristy also pursued her love for traveling throughout her life to warm, and sunny places near the water.

Kristy is survived by her favorite sister Kathy L. LeValley, wife of Jon LeValley, her brother, George M. Young and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond H. Young, her mother, Joann E. Young, and her step-mother, Anna M. Young.

Kristy will be remembered for her incredible generosity, her ability to find the fun and humor in everything as well as her ability to say exactly what was on her mind.

The family invites friends and loved ones to attend a service remembering Kristy on November 19th at 11 o’clock in the morning at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church in Jonestown.
