Jeanne was born on March 25th, 1959. She grew up in Burrillville, Rhode Island, where she attended Burrillville High School. She loved spending the summers at the family’s camp at Sand Dam Reservoir. When not a stay-at-home mom, Jeanne worked in many of the nursing homes and care facilities in the area, finding fulfillment in caring for seniors. After raising her family, Jeanne moved to Kentucky, and then later to Pennsylvania, settling in Lebanon to live close to her grandchildren.
Jeanne loved to watch movies and shows about the unexplained. She spent most evenings watching her favorites in rotation. Jeanne was an amazing cook and loved watch cooking channels on YouTube. She also kept active on Facebook, keeping in touch with distant friends and family. Jeanne loved to share her stories with people. She liked to travel a little, visiting many several states, St. Croix, and The Netherlands. Her favorite trip was when she travelled to The Netherlands, to visit her soon-to-be husband, Jan, and his family.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother and father Ava and Albini Deroy, and her daughter Lauren. She is survived by her husband Jan, her sons Justin and Johnathan, stepson Jeroen, stepdaughter Marjolein, son-in-law Timothy, her sister Karen, her brothers Gary and Steven, and her grandchildren, Olivia, Timothy, Ethan, Ava, Ivy, Riya, Renee, Lieke.
Jeanne loved her family fiercely, and was always interested in their stories. She made friends wherever she went, and tended to put other people before herself. Jeanne found great joy in other's happiness.
