Harold C. Werner

Harold C. Werner, 86, formerly of Gretna Springs, died Monday, August 27, 2012 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Jeanette K. Weik Werner. He was born in Wernersville on March 20, 1926 a son of the late Claude Werner and Betsy M. Watkins Wengert. Harold was a retired employee of Cleaver-Brooks in Lebanon; he later was employed by the Lebanon Library and the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War; volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing bingo and completing puzzles and in his younger years he loved to golf and fish. He is survived by son, Michael husband of Dawn Werner of Lebanon; daughter, Lori wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Sholly of Quentin; grandsons, Michael Werner, Jr., of Lebanon; Alexander Koger of CA and step grandson, Thad Sholly of Ebenezer. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 10th at 11:00 AM in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
