Evelyn L. Smith Ulrich

Evelyn L. Ulrich, 92, of Lebanon, PA, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 in the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Donald E. Ulrich. She was born February 1, 1918 in Lebanon a daughter of the late Edmund and Irene Shepps Smith. Evelyn was a retired employee of Seltzer’s Lebanon Bologna Company in Palmyra with 13 years of service. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon and an avid bowler and swimmer. She volunteered at Cedar Haven’s Gift Shop and a daycare center in Annville for several years. Evelyn taught the important lessons of life to all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren through her own action’s and life values. She will be dearly missed by us all. She is survived by sons, Frederick C. Lucas of Camp Hill; James E. Lucas and wife Connie of Bethel; Robert L. Lucas of Boston, MA; Thomas S. Lucas of Wernersville; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Smith and wife Doris of Lititz. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Lucas; brothers, Thomas Smith, Chester Smith and James Smith; sisters, Margaret Haak and Sara Schneider. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA with a viewing beginning on Friday at 10:00 AM.
