Catherine H. Bohannon, 86, Myerstown, passed away on Sunday June 25, 2023 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Lebanon on June 11, 1937, a daughter of the late Edwin and Emma Sweeney Rittle. Catherine was a member of the former First EC church in Lebanon and had attended Christ Community Church in Myerstown. She had been employed by the EC Retirement Home and previously had been a babysitter for many years. She enjoyed vacationing at the beach with her family and was known for her housekeeping skills. She particularly enjoyed attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Catherine enjoyed reading, playing Yahtzee and family gatherings at holidays. In addition to her husband she is survived by sons: Dale Bohannon and wife Karen of Milton, DE; Darrell Bohannon and wife Jane of Lebanon; Douglas Bohannon and wife Stephanie of Myerstown; grandchildren: Eric, Tyler, Liesa, Jackie, Brett, Braden; great-grandchildren: Kenleigh and Aria; sister: Shirley Dundore. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Brad. Memorial services will be on Friday at 11:30 am. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00am to the time of service in the funeral home. Private interment will be made in Schaefferstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Christ Community Church, 121 S. College St., Myerstown, PA 17067 or to Amedisys 1410 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
