Carrie E. Hentz

Mrs. Hentz, daughter of the late Oley and Mamie Schaeffer Bender, was born January 11, 1914 in Tower City. She worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Suzanne Worrilow for more than 20 years. She was a member of River of Life Church of God in Lebanon.

She was the widow of Harry Hentz. She is the Mother of two children, Ruth Mence of Weeki Wachee, Florida, and the late Thomas Hentz. Besides her daughter, she is survived by three sisters, Anna Yingst of Cleona, Helen Schaeffer of Pine Grove and Dorothy Lebo of New Cumberland and one brother, Raymond Bender of Tower City. She also has six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her son Thomas she was preceded in death by her brother Harold Bender and her sisters Elsie Henry and Alma Fry.

The funeral service will be held at River of Life Church of God, 825 N. 7th St., Lebanon on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM where a viewing will be held beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
