Betty Jane Ressler, 84, of Cornwall Manor, passed away in her residence on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was born on April 1, 1934 in Schuylkill County, a daughter of the late Howard C. Ressler, Sr. and Laura B. Deck Ressler. She was employed for 28 years at Met-Ed, retiring from their human resource department. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Hamlin. Betty was an avid Penn State football fan and Hershey Bears hockey fan, having season tickets for many years. She is survived by a brother, Howard Ressler of Lebanon; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Ressler; adopted father, Edwin V. Ressler; half- brother, Leroy Umbenhem; and half-sister, Maggie Swisher. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1 pm in the Zerr Chapel at Cornwall Manor, 1 Boyd St., Cornwall, PA.
