Betty J. Reese, 100, Jonestown, passed away on Sunday March 23, 2025 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Robert Reese, Jr. Betty was born in Lebanon on March 25, 1924 a daughter of the late Thomas R.L. and Elsie K. Coppenhaver Ebur. She had been employed in the dietary department of the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Betty was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon where she was a Sunday School teacher. She loved playing bingo and cards as well as roller skating in her younger years. Betty is survived by daughters: Bonita L. wife of Kenneth Battistelli; Virginia L. wife of Robert Adams; Beverly A. wife of Dennis Cantrell; daughter-in-law: Margaret Reese; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons: Robert and Bruce Reese; grandson: Todd Battistelli; great-granddaughter: Lauren Cantrell; brothers: James Charles, Paul and Robert Ebur; sisters; Nell Sullivan, Mary Ebur and Dorothy Bender. Funeral services will be Monday March 31, 2025 at 10:00am in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 723 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046 with a viewing from 9:00am until the time of service. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
