Betty J. Galbraith, 93 of Lebanon passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Charles P. Galbraith. She was born in Lebanon on May 7, 1920; daughter of the late Mary Miller. Betty was a graduate of Lebanon High School and retired from the Sears Roebuck and Co., Lebanon. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lebanon where she was formally the Sunday School Superintendent, Girl Scout Leader and active in the Miriam Circle. She was very fond of her West Highland Terrier (Max) who visited her and other residents frequently at the Manor. Betty is survived by her daughter: Elita Galbraith, Lebanon; sons: Dennis Galbraith and wife Eileen; Richard Galbraith and wife Deb, Phoenix, AZ; grandson: Todd Galbraith and wife Donna, Annville; great-grandchildren: Lindsay, Brady, Kendyl, Chase and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her grandson: David Galbraith; siblings: Kathryn Shay, Myrtle Beard, Margaret Clemens, Mary Shaffer, Margaret Aurentz and James Beard. Friends and family are invited to her funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Salem Lutheran Church, 119 N. 8th St., Lebanon where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 855 Tuck St., Suite 2, Lebanon, PA 17042 or to her church.
