Allen M. Whitman Sr., 56 of Lebanon, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 9th, 2011. He was born in Lebanon on November 10th, 1954, a son of the late William J. and Eleanor E. Yingst Whitman. Mr. Whitman was employed helping others by transporting them to their appointments. He was a member of the R Field and Stream, avid Phillies and Minnesota Viking Fan. He also enjoyed fishing. Surviving is his son Allen M. Whitman Jr. of Sinking Springs; brothers: William A., husband of Judith A. Whitman, Palmyra and Steven D. Whitman of Lebanon; sister: Patty Y., wife of Jake Klopp, Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14th, 2011 at 8:00p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, Pa., 17042 with Rev. Jerry Klopp officiating. A visitation will be from 6:00p.m. until the time of the service.
