Paula Gonzales was born May 12, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Miguel C. and Alicia (Martinez) Villanueva. She passed from this life October 23, 2022 in Leander, Texas at the age of 74. Paula had lived in Leander since 2017. She was a pianist and enjoyed classical and Spanish music. She enjoyed taking walks. Her greatest pleasure was devoting her time to her church. Paula was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and San Fernando Cathedral in San Antonio. Paula was also a dedicated employee for USAA for over 30 years. She and Thomas C. Gonzales were united in marriage on April 27, 1980. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2004. Paula was also preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Edward C. Villanueva and Margarita Bolanos. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Katherine Castro; siblings, Miguel C. Villanueva and Florela Tobar and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
