Paula was born in Wichita, Kansas on 12 February 1947 (second of 6 children) to Clyde “Jiggs” and Avis (Ferrell) Bannon. She passed away on April 4, 2025.
Paula spent her early life in Wichita with her family. As an adult she moved her growing family to Austin,Texas. The Texas Hill Country provided the backdrop for her love of nature and gardening. There was rarely the name of a plant, tree or flower that she did not know. Paula’s love for the sun ensured summers full of trips to the pool for her children and grandkids alike. There was never a lack of color in her vibrant life. Paula loved nothing more than her babies. Her children and grandchildren provided a steady stream of babies to love.
Paula is survived by 4 of her children, Jamisa Harris (Chad), Kisha Parra(Jerome), Todd Bush (Kristina), and Tosalyn Sellers (Jack). Daughter, Nicole Kirkendoll (Kevin, living) passed in 2013. She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Steve Bannon and sister Connie Atherton.
A visitation for Paula will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1200 S. Bagdad, Leander, TX 78641. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Liberty Hill Cemetery, 16101 TX-29, Liberty Hill, Texas 78642.
