"Neighbour @ VF"

I'm in complete shock! My deepest condolences to Mike's loved ones.
At Verifone (VF), Mike was my "neighbour" -- we sat across a walkway/isle from each other. Mike's dry sense of humor always made me giggle when I could overhear some of his conversation. He enjoyed and praised my family-recipe of deviled eggs. Mike will be missed!

The best are taken too soon… I worked with Mike very recently and in his previous firm. There are a few people I would follow to work with and Mike was one of them. Always appreciated his humour, honesty, frankness and supportive approach to everything. Was only a few days ago that we last spoke and can’t imagine not catching up with him again. Michael, our dear baby brother, incredibly warm and loving, humorous and generous, loved by his family and friends. He loved them too and was enormously proud of his boys Olly and Ben.
He had an infectious laugh, and loved his life! 
We are heartbroken that he was so young to leave it.

I want to share a few of my memories of Mike.  I worked with Mike at Bank of America, PayPal and Verifone. We 1st met in 2006 in London when we were at Bank of America. I was the head of HR for APAC for the bank, and Mike set up a recruiting team - from scratch - for us in APAC. He continued to partner with me from New York with complicated executive hires. Later, we both ended up at PayPal, and I worked closely with Mike and his team on creative recruiting initiatives for the technology organization. When I became the Chief HR Officer at Verifone, I convinced Mike to come and help us there. He accomplished big, amazing things at Verifone!  I always had such good fun working with Mike!  One of my favorite partners ever.  I also always knew I could trust him - in both a professional and personal sense. I will cherish all of those memories of fun and success together. 

My deepest condolences, Mike was great boss and colleague. He was a good man. I am so very sad, that he is no longer with us... 

He was a great person to work with - great seanse of humour, kind personality,ability to listen to and being professional in every way.

It was a pleasure to work with him.

I want to express my deepest sympathies to Mike's family, loved ones, and all grieving our loss.  Mike and I were colleagues at Symphony and along the way developed a special kind of working relationship and friendship that we both knew would extend beyond our employer. I hope the following words help celebrate and honor the many wonderful qualities that Mike brought to the professional side of his life.

In early 2019, Symphony had a recruiting problem. Actually, there were many dimensions to our recruiting challenges but I had neither a dedicated leader nor a funded position to hire one. But I knew that if I could just find the RIGHT person, they would change the equation and make all the difference. We found him, and Mike's impact on the company and our team was immediate and extraordinary. Mike led with his warm, engaging, and humorous personality. Everyone enjoyed working with him and his team loved working for him. He matched this with deep expertise honed over decades in his craft and a real commitment to his work and relationships. Mike helped to completely reshape Symphony during his time there. While always making time to talk about his boys, boating, and his American home in Texas.

We both left Symphony vowing that we must work together again. Within months we were talking about possibilities. I am so very sad that we won't have another chance. Mike was an exceptional professional and an even better man. I am grateful to have known him.
