Mary Ella Huguley, beloved mother and loyal friend, passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Sweetwater, Texas, on November 1, 1944, she truly was one-of-a-kind. A treasured soul who touched the lives of so many people with her empathetic superpowers. A woman who will be remembered for her big heart, warmth, generosity, and welcoming spirit. She dedicated her life to her family, always providing the best hugs, advice, listening ear, and celebrations.
Mary is survived by her son, Thomas Clinton Huguley III, daughter in love, Kristen Huguley, brother Jerry Gerard, stepdaughters and family from her former husband, and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her father, Grover Jerry Gerard, Sr., mother Christine Jones Corley, sister Sunny Lanette Trammell (Gerard), brother William Jack Gerard, stepfather Robert Corley, and former husband Clint Huguley.
Mary was a graduate of the University of Houston who excelled as a realtor, mother, and community volunteer. She found tremendous joy in her faith, gardening, painting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. In her own words, Ms. Mary thrived on being a glimmer of sunshine and helping people understand the world could be better. It certainly was with her in it.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Texas Humane Heroes, Leander Educational Excellence Foundation, or Cedar Park Public Library Foundation in memory of Mary Ella Huguley.
