Elizabeth was born to the late Thomas and Mary Agnes Allison on January 22, 1938 in Denver, Colorado. She spent most of her life in Texas. Liz graduated from Saint Agnes Academy in 1956, and after 28 years, retired from Exxon Exploration where she had moved up the ranks from a secretary to a declared honorary oil and gas scientist receiving the first ever Presidential Leadership Award.
Liz is survived by two children: Laura Spiers and son-in-law David Spiers of Jonestown, Texas and Ann LeSavage of Houston, Texas and by four grandchildren, Grace, Matthew, Nate, and Mary Lynn. She is also survived by her five siblings: Mary, Richard, Maureen, Tommy and Danny. She married the late Laval (Roby) Robillard in 1993 and they lived together in Houston for many years before she relocated to Cedar Park to be near family.
Liz was a talented knitter and had many artistic hobbies including painting. She loved her garden and planting new flowers, spoiling her grandchildren, dancing, bible study, Clint Eastwood and Western films, and visiting with friends and family. You could ask her any question, current or historical, about football and she would know the answer. She would not answer her phone when she was watching the NFL draft. She worked hard to avoid football debates about the Patriots, her favorite team.
She gave back to her community many times over the years including knitting baby clothing and prayer shawls for church functions, counseling prison inmates, volunteering at Casa de Esperanza House of Hope of Children, serving children and families in abusive situations. She actively participated in other support groups for divorced couples, and made sure she prayed daily for those in need, her family and friends.
Now is our time to remember and know the words she often said in difficult times “This too shall pass”.
