Rosemary Toya Lawson

Rosemary “Toya” Lawson, age 77 of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born in Lawrenceburg, TN. She enjoyed singing gospel music and opera. She was a missionary in Africa, Germany, and U.S.A. who loved the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jessie Will Smith; mother, Beatrice Blair Smith; grandfather, Pat Blair, grandmother, Lois Smith Blair; sister, Carol Kennedy; uncles, Marcus Blair, Joe Blair, Bill Blair, Carl Blair, and Laymond Blair; aunt, Doris Glaze.

She leaves to cherish sisters, Jeanette Perkins of Lawrenceburg, TN, Glenda Williams of Florence, AL; brothers, James, Leroy, Thomas, Micheal Kennedy of Sheffield, AL; aunt, Gladys Sowell; nieces, Tiffany Humphrey of Antioch, TN, Shadonda Perkins of Lawrenceburg, TN; great nieces, Shanyka Nichols of El Paso, TX, Sharie Fox of Lawrenceburg, TN; great nephews, Javion Fox and Daston Perkins of Lawrenceburg, TN; uncle Bob Blair of Dayton, OH, and aunt Lizzie Jordan of Lawrenceburg, TN; special aunt and sister, Sarah Avery of Dayton, OH.

Visitation will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo funeral chapel on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mickey Brackin officiating.
