Robert Wayne Hicks Sr.

He was born September 24, 1942 to the late Jewell Dean (Hatfield) Traywick and Odell Hicks in Chattanooga TN.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jo Ann Hayes Hicks of Summertown; one daughter, Sharon (Jackie) Mckennon of Summertown; three sons, Robert (Ashley) Hicks Jr of Summertown, Robert Anthony (Tena) Hicks of Cedar Grove TN, & Phillip Wayne Hicks of Huntingdon Tn; one brother, Stevie Hicks of Summertown; three sisters, Peggy Bryant of Oregon, Nancy Howell of Michigan, & Becky Johns of Florida; six grandchildren, Holly (Phillip) Wilson of Summertown, Rusty Hicks of Summertown, Heather Hicks of Mt. Pleasant TN, Madison Hicks of Summertown, Thomas Hicks of Cedar Grove TN, Chrissy (Richie) Conroy of Huntingdon TN; ten great-grandchildren; beloved pets, Duke and Shaggy; two long-time friends, Darrell Childress and Mike Gresham.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jackie (JJ) Odell Mckennon Jr; one great-granddaughter Bianca Leann Conroy; two brothers, Dwight Hicks and Danny Hicks.

Memorial service will be 1pm Monday, May 12, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel with Bro. Art McCormick officiating.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 11am-1pm Monday, May 12, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home.
